Summary

• We do not collect or store your personal information such as location or device identifiers.
• Audio you record for translation is processed to generate text/translations; we do not keep your recordings or transcripts on our servers unless you explicitly save or share them.
• The app displays ads through Google’s AdMob SDK. AdMob may use its own data (not provided by us) to serve ads, but we do not collect or share device IDs or location with them.
• You can control permissions (e.g., Microphone) in iOS Settings.

Information we process

Audio & speech content you provide

• Microphone input / voice recordings: When you use voice translation, your audio is captured to convert speech to text and generate translations or captions.
• Processing: Audio may be processed on-device or sent securely to service providers solely to transcribe/translate and return results.
• Retention: We do not store your raw audio or transcripts on our servers by default. If you choose to save, export, or share results, copies will exist where you save or send them (e.g., Files app, iCloud Drive, third-party apps).

App usage and diagnostics

• Crash logs & performance data: We may receive anonymous or aggregated diagnostics (e.g., via Apple) to improve stability and quality.

Advertising (via Google AdMob)

• We integrate Google AdMob to show ads in the App. While AdMob may use its own mechanisms for delivering and measuring ads, we do not collect or share your location, device ID, or any personally identifiable information.

How we use information

• Provide core features: speech recognition, translation, captions, and exports.
• Maintain and improve the App: analytics, debugging, and quality assurance.
• Show ads (free version): via Google AdMob to help support development.

Permissions

• Microphone: Needed for voice input. You can enable/disable in Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone.
• Speech Recognition (if used): Needed to convert speech to text. Manage in Settings > Privacy & Security > Speech Recognition.
• Photos/Files (optional): Only if you choose to export/import content. Access is limited to your selection.

Your choices & controls

• Manage permissions: iOS Settings > Global Language Translator AI.
• Ad preferences: You may limit ad personalization using iOS settings and Google’s own ad settings. See adssettings.google.com.
• Access, correction, deletion: Contact us at darkblueapps@gmail.com. Since we do not collect personal data, there is usually nothing for us to delete, but we will help where applicable.

Children’s privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age required by local law for online consent. If a child has provided information, a parent or guardian may contact us to request deletion.

Data retention

We retain diagnostic logs only as long as necessary for stability and support. Audio you record is processed transiently to produce translations and is not retained by us unless you explicitly save or share it.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data we process. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in-app or via release notes.
